About YOUNETPO

Who We Are

The Youth Network for Positive Change (YOUNETPO) is a registered, fully accredited, youth-led national civil society organization in Liberia. Founded in 2014, YOUNETPO has dedicated over a decade to equipping the next generation of Liberian changemakers with the practical skills, structural leadership capabilities, and community platforms required to drive meaningful civic participation, protect public health assets, and build a lasting culture of sustainable peace across the nation.

How We Work

From sub-national dialogue to national policy

01

Field Monitoring & Data Collection

Youth-led field teams track health facility performance, education infrastructure gaps, and budget expenditure on the ground — in Montserrado, Bong, and beyond.

02

Community & Civil Society Dialogue

We convene Citizens' Charters, validation circles, and regional dialogues that bring community voices directly into decision-making processes.

03

National Policy Advocacy

From the Paris Agreement ratification to the Declaration on Parliamentary Openness, our leadership translates grassroots findings into formal policy outcomes.

Our Story

From grassroots beginnings to national impact

YOUNETPO began as a small circle of young advocates in Monrovia determined to put youth voices at the center of Liberia's recovery and development. Over the past decade, that circle has grown into a national network spanning Montserrado, Bong, and beyond — delivering 25+ projects in partnership with the Global Fund, USAID, UNFPA, UN Women, the European Union, and Liberia's own Environmental Protection Agency.

Along the way, our leadership has helped ratify international climate accords, secure multi-million-dollar grant portfolios, and sign formal partnerships with institutions like the Office of the War and Economic Crimes Court of Liberia — proof that youth-led organizations can shape national policy, not just respond to it.
